Thanks for posting. How are you doing? Any chance of more writing soon?

Don't count on any updates to Magician's Integration any time soon. I don't know what to do with it. I know this is vague, but the plot developments that feel the most true to me are also places I don't want to go.

I've been taking notes and writing a little on some things that have nothing to do with Arthur and Ursus. I'm trying to find something that is, to be confessional, easier for me to write that will allow me to get in more regular practice.

It will be posted under another pen name--I don't want to damage this one--and I'm not going to promote it at all. It's just going to be something that people can take or leave.

I understand. I kinda thought Chapters 9 and 10 were a detour -- just had the 3 bears with no Goldilocks (Kirsten), no Mary, no Agnes and none of the guys, good or bad.

You should try to integrate the existing characters whom we have come to know and love with your new plot, or change the plot. Your characters are golden, and their development and interaction should drive the plot.

There is a lot of good material being published under the Young Adult rubric. One of my favorites is Sabriel by Garth Nix. A wonderful world. He wrote two sequels to Sabriel, Lirael & Abhorsen.

The Thief by Megan Whelan Turner is also great. It is followed by The Queen of Attolia and The King of Attolia.
